Seeing Atlanta

With a sizable group of family and friends, we roughly followed Sherman's path from Chattanooga to Atlanta last weekend. It took a lot less time, but it is probably because we didn't stop to burn, rape and pillage. The skyline looks a lot better, too. Above is the daybreak.

The attractions were

1. The Tut Exhibit - pretty good, but no sarcophagus, and no mummy. A lot of non-Tut sculpture and artifacts that were very interesting. It was a little too much like a cattle chute for my taste, but you have to be efficient, I guess.

and

2. The Chinese terra-cotta army. Very cool. Always on the ball, Scooter found the fastest way, if not the most direct way to the displays. [update: Mrs. Pie pointed out this possibility to Scooter first]

No photos allowed at either exhibit.

Actually, I was the one who found the quickest way. I was standing outside examining the buildings while waiting for the Swansons, and when I shared my theory with The Scoot Man, he went to investigate.
